What Makes It Awesome?

India has its own Grand Canyon, and you must visit this place. Situated amidst the beautiful landscape and wild forests, it is endowed with a vast amount of greenery.

Gandikota is a village on the right side of the bank of the river Pennar, The fort of Gandikota acquired its name due to the 'gorge' (in Telugu it is called 'gandi').

In the fort, there are two ancient temples, dedicated to Madhava and Ranganatha. There are other structures like old jail, fort mosque etc you can see.

This place is at a remote location where you won’t get any hotel except for the one and only Andhra Tourist hotel. The view is absolutely gorgeous at the time of sunset and sunrise. You can also climb down the river to camp by the riverside.
