If you’re looking to add some trendy work wear, smart party apparel and casual dresses in all sizes — from XS to XL, head to Chemistry.

What Is It?

I seem to have a wonderful chemistry with this store, as every time I visit it, I come out with plenty of shopping bags in hand. While it began as a rather expensive and boutique store many years ago, it’s turned into a high street store with everything from denims and dresses to shirts and jackets. And the best part is that prices are reasonable and start at INR 500 for tops and INR 1,500 for dresses and jumpsuits.

What I Like Most

I really like that they have anti-fit dresses, tunics and tops. This automatically means that their L and XL are roomy and you can sometimes buy a smaller size than usual. From crop tops, off shoulders, and good old tunic shirts, it’s easy to carry off these outfits straight from the office to your nearest pub for drinkies with the girls. And if you’re in the mood to party, then check out the line of dresses and jackets they have too. I am currently tripping on their kimono-style cover ups, ideal to throw on over stringy tops for the summer.

Who Is It For?

Perfect for ladies looking to get out of the jeans and tee or kurta rut, this store must be on speed dial. With good quality, neat cuts and trendy designs, you don’t even mind paying for the merchandise here. Besides, if you get a dress for INR 1,500, it’s not too bad is it?

How Was The Experience?

Shopping here is always a pleasure. The staff is always at hand to help, but they are not in the least intrusive. Happy to give you a hand with mixing and matching, finding a new size or advising you, they really know their merchandise well. I also like that there’s almost always some section of the store that is on sale. You see why I always buy something here? And when the whole store is on sale, then make sure you go at the earliest as they run off stuff very quickly! Imagine, 70 per cent off the stuff! I’d buy it all, if I could.
