It’s already March, and to continue the March Madness, we have Holi, one of the maddest form of celebration we have coming up. The Festival Of Colour as it's known, has caught on abroad, what with all their “colour runs” and colour parties, but they have nothing on our own Holi. If you’re not celebrating with the fam or your friends at or near home in a gully where everyone is doused in colour, check out one of these parties instead.

Rang Manch At Pebble - The Jungle Lawn

Happening at one of the city’s original outdoor party location - Pebble - The Jungle Lounge, Rang Manch will take place over two days, eight hours each. With 15 DJs playing electronic music through the party, it’ll have you throwing caution to the winds and some colour balloons too while you’re at it. And don’t worry about taking your colours, as they’ll be well stocked with organic colours.

Price: INR 499 upwards

When: 10 AM onwards, March 22 (Friday), and March 23 (Saturday)

Umang At Manpho Convention Centre

Now this seems like it’s going to be lit, because it’s happening at Manpho Convention Centre, so you know that not only is it going to attract a crowd, but also that it can easily handle large numbers of people. Apart from the usual entertainment of Holi like throwing colours, music, food, and water balloons, they’ll also provide water guns, plenty of photo corners (and photo ops) and, get this, flowers. Yeah, so you can feel like you’re in a Bollywood festive number! Call +917483303697 or +919108882720 for registration details.

When: 10 AM onwards, March 21 (Thursday), and March 22 (Friday)

The Colour Run By Decathlon

Gymrats, and runners, swap out your usual work out for a colour run, and hit two birds with one stone, like the practical people we know you are. Do the 3k, 5k, or 10k run solo or with the fam. Registration fees include the cost of refreshments, bibs, medals, and prizes if you win obviously. If you don’t want to take yourself so seriously while celebrating (yes there will be colours and music too!), run for free! The run starts at the literal crack of dawn, so get to the Old Madras Road Decathlon by then. Contact them on +91 80950 55152 to register.

Happening at the NGV Club, play balam pichkari with your Deepika (or Ranveer) outdoors, by the pool, or in the pool. And if not that, there’s always the rain dance to help you beat the heat!

Kids Holi At The Courtyard Cafe

Just because you have kids that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun right? The Courtyard Cafe in  Shantinagar will have your kids playing holi with fruit. Of course there’s no compulsion to actually start chucking fruit at each other, because you can also eat the fruit if you like. To get them into the spirit of festivities, there will also be a choreographer with whom the kids can dance along, or, just be kids. All we know is that this sounds like the most chilled out and stress free kind of celebration!

Holi With Ekatvam

Bring your love for colour and music this Holi and attend this charity concert by Masters and Young Masters. Held over three days (who says you need to restrict celebrations for just a day), the proceeds go toward caring for the elderly. For every shade in the rainbow, there’s an associated raaga, and the concert will show you the connection, so while you might not be throwing colours, you’ll still experience them as sound!
