Check Into Silicon Valley: Where To Stay In Whitefield Across All Budgets

The information in this post might be outdated

Instinct will tell you to advise people against staying in Whitefield, unless they crucially have to be in that area. And as much as you CBD or Old Bangalore snobs don’t like to admit it, that ‘tech area’ is really buzzing and pretty popular. In fact, it’s like a mini holiday if you check into a hotel there and then explore the space. There’s plenty to do. So whether you’re hunting for a business hotel for clients, a plush place to put up wedding guests or a budget kind for your visiting university friends, we’ve done some Whitefield scouring and here’s where you should check in.

Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield

We like this one for its luxe comfort. And for the fact that it is attached to Inorbit Mall, one of the few all-round entertainment places in the area. Apart from the comfy rooms, standard Marriott in our opinion, and a fab swimming pool, it’s the extras {like complementary afternoon tea} that make it worth-while. Plus, Alto Vino, one of the best Italian restaurants in town. Also, two words for you post work – Sama Spa.

The Zuri Whitefield

Much like their tagline which says ‘Business, not as usual’, the contemporary hotel has become a top favourite to party at too! Just 10 minutes away from the all-popular ITPB, you’ll be smack in the centre of Whitefield if you check in here. Phoenix MarketCity and VR Bengaluru will be walking distance in one direction, with a few nightlife spots not too far in the other. The hotel chain’s spa The Maya Spa is another reason to stay.

Four Points By Sheraton

Apart from the very alluring rooftop swimming pool, this neat hotel has made a name for itself as having very hospitable and friendly staff. There’s Premium and Comfort rooms as well a few Junior Suites, and each has a distinct flavour of tradition in the form of a piece of décor or painting. Another lovely feature is their Library Lounge – just pick out a book, relax on the comfy arm chairs and unwind.

Aloft

Combining a comfortable bed, swanky design, great dining options {including a very handy grab and go deli}, there’s much to love about Aloft. They really like to pamper you here. In fact, the bar and lounge has lighting and music that changes through the day, and essentially reflects your mood. How cool is that?

Vivanta By Taj

The hotel façade is like a massive screen and changes colour. Do we need to say more? We will anyway. You can expect standard Vivanta rooms, but what is more interesting is their Casanova Diaries. Inspired by the Italian adventurer, this one is a culinary journey with a lavish five-course meal that’ll get you booking your next room before even leaving. For a splurge, check into the Presidential Nirvana Suite.

Compact and just right to work-play-rest-repeat the Keys Hotel is part hotel and part service apartment. Catering to meetings with massive conference rooms and even workstations if you’re into the remote working scene. Then unwind in one of their two gyms {yes, two} and the narrow but adequate swimming pool. In a hurry? They’ll hook you up with a healthy on-the-go brekkie. Just ask.

The right kind of business hotel, this one packs it all in {gym, pool, bar, coffee shop and swanky rooms} despite being a bit off the radar and not winning for size. But if you’re not fussed about a large garden, this one does the trick.

Cheery, contemporary and in the middle of the bustle of Whitefield, we’d check into this over and over again. As with most rooms of the chain, the rooms are bright, airy and thankfully have massive picture windows, so you’ll wake up to the happy sunshine. A lovely and private roof top swimming pool and a gym overlooking the skyline will ensure you stay fit too.

As all Ginger Hotels, this one too is neat, small and great to spend a night without burning a hole in your pocket. A comfy bed, WiFi, gym and restaurant come with the rates. Oh! And a newspaper. But that’s about all. Though at the going rates, what’s not to like?

Hotel Formule 1

With absolutely nothing to do with a racetrack or a car, this one is all about self-service. A new concept by the Accor Group, you’re welcome to help yourself to food and drink at the vending machines or do your own laundry on-site. They also have hotels, but functioning like an apart-otel, we like that it feels less clinical or mechanical than an actual hotel. Look out for the cool LED showers!

The Mayer

A home away from home, we love this one. It’s not your typical hotel set up, and is essentially like a massive chateau. Rooms {the most modest one has a balcony and the top-notch Presidential Suite comes with two bedrooms, a kitchenette, living and dining rooms}. To add to that, there are two in-house restaurants {one full service and another a drinks and snack lounge}, so you really can enjoy the best of business and pleasure.
