Ice Cream Buggy Brings You Frozen Treats In Cake And Pizza Avatars

Shortcut

From regular scoops to ice cream in cake and pizza, the country’s first ice cream truck is in town!

Break the ice

Next time you’re out in HSR Layout or Koramangala, if you happen to spot a small van, done up in brown and bright yellow {with an ice cream cone on top}, make a beeline for it. And say hello to Ice Cream Buggy, India’s first ever ice cream truck! With 22 vehicles across the country {managed by franchisees}, the venture is headed by Dubai-based entrepreneur, Rohit Rao and was first launched in Bangalore. Functioning as a food truck as well as catering for events {an ice cream van at your birthday party can never get old}, they serve single scoops and sundaes along with interesting versions like ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches and ice cream pizzas. Made in-house {they have a factory in town} using fresh ingredients, their cool treats come at  unbelievably reasonable rates, too!

Ice creams galore

If their scoops, available in cup and waffle cone options, like Banana Caramel Chocochip, Lychee and Chocolate Chocochip {an all-time favourite} don’t entice you enough, the sundaes might. The Forest Fire which comes with black forest pastry and vanilla ice cream topped with hot chocolate sauce and nuts is a must-try here. So is their Mango Mate, Alphonso mango ice cream with choco sauce and nuts. For the more adventurous ones, there’s ice cream cake with layers of cake and ice cream to please your sweet tooth. Or pick the pizza version which comes with a slightly harder cake base topped with a frozen treat of your choice. Their menu also includes floats {Coke float with chocolate ice cream for the summer} and we hear there’s a new range of sundaes coming up soon!
