You Need To Sink Your Teeth Into The Ice Cream Burger At This HSR Cafe Right Now

Shortcut

Tucked away, literally in a corner of a lane in HSR is Cafe By The Corner with short eats and hot drinks. But the reason you need to make a visit is not any of this, but their newly-introduced Burger Ice Cream.

What's The Scoop?

Two scoops of vanilla ice cream come sandwiched in between two burger buns. The buns are not the usual soft kind but baked slightly harder and toasted so that it can hold the ice cream together. Then comes the special bit — good ol’ Froot Loops from Kellogs that are stuck along the sides. The whole burger is dusted with icing sugar and makes for a really pretty picture too.

Get ready for all the mess you are going to create and all the teeth chills you are going to get. Since the ice cream starts melting fast, you need to hold the burger and start chomping on it right away. You don’t expect bread and ice cream to work when you bite into it, but they actually do. Plus, the Froot Loops add such a lovely crunch. The toasted buns make it easier to hold the ice cream together. The burger is pretty heavy duty and can be shared between two people at least.

What Else Is On The Menu?

We tried some of their biscotti and red velvet cupcakes, which we found a little dry. The paniyarams, however, served with two kinds of chutney, were nice and spicy. They also do fries or Frys with Chipotle, onion rings, Kerala style chicken curry and rice, Nutella Cheesecake and more. But for the time being, we will get by with the awesome Burger Ice Cream they do.

Price: INR 100 for a burger ice cream
