This Ramadan tempt your palate to a super exquisite and exotic 'Haleem' spread by the chefs at Punjab Bistro. Inspired by the Hyderabadi Haleem, this fine dining place has taken this humble dish to another level and how.
From the traditional 'mutton' Haleem that we have all sampled from nondescript stalls in local markets (mostly as part of a Food walk), to the special 'Duck Haleem' or a more refined 'Turkey Haleem' the 'Shaan E Haleem' festival at Punjab Bistro is a true celebration of this humble dish.
While most Ramadan food streets are all about sampling food while wading through hordes of foodies and eating off disposable plates, often getting elbowed in the process, Punjab Bistro wants to offer an authentic fine dining experience to celebrate the spirit of Eid. They've taken 7 gems, including two vegetarians (yes you heard that right! Vegetarian) versions of Haleem, this special fare has it all. For non-vegetarian they have mutton, duck, turkey, seafood or chicken Haleem and for vegetarian (which could be perhaps a first!), they have either a jackfruit (also known as 'Kathal') or a mixed vegetable haleem.
Imagine meat (or vegetables) slow cooked to perfection with the perfect blend of Indian spices with lentils and pounced wheat. We particularly loved the Duck Haleem that is quite a show stopper and also the 'Kathal' Haleem that's so flavorful. Add a few great desserts like the 'Qubani ka Meetha', 'Doh ka Meetha' and 'Gil e Firdaus' to complete this culinary experience and we would say "What else are foodie dreams made of right?"
Now stop salivating and book your experience by calling them now. The festival is on from 17th May to 14th June 2019.
