The Japan Habba, an Indo-Japan cultural festival, is all set to kick off its 14th edition on Sunday, February 4. A merry cultural exchange celebrating all thing Japanese and Indian, this event will feature everything from origami to karaoke. If the last edition is anything to go by, you’ll get to watch talented Japanese artistes and musicians perform, an exchange of culture with Japanese nationals grooving to Bollywood numbers and Bangaloreans trying their hand at Japanese theatre, and maybe you’ll even get to sport a cute kimono {so kawaii}. This year, the theme will be Aomori Prefecture — a gorgeous region in the north of Japan.
Say Konichiwa To The 14th Edition Of This Popular Indo-Japanese Cultural Fest
What Is It?
Who Is it For?
For anyone who loves a good cultural fiesta. And if you love all things Japanese like karaoke, origami, manga and anime, or know someone who does {we all have that one friend} then you guys have to check this out. It’s also a great way to learn a new culture, so we’re saying it’s for anyone with a curious mind.
Why Should I Go For It?
Take a trip to Japan without leaving town by hitting up this fest that celebrates all things Japanese and our relationship with one of the most advanced nations in the world. With many stalls and booths, all with a link to Japanese culture and living, try Japanese teas, don a Yukata {a summer kimono}, chew on Japanese candies and try your hand at calligraphy too. Apart from a bunch of musical performances and cultural acts, belt your heart out at their Karaoke competition or break a leg at the group dance event. And when hunger strikes, head over to their food stalls where you can gorge on Japanese deliciousness like sushi and sashimi.
