We stumbled upon Jyamiti & Sea's Instagram handle when we were on the hunt for some pen stand and immediately went on a spiral looking at the brand's posts. Jyamiti & Sea was started by Soumak Mukhopadhyay in 2020, an IT engineer and photog, who discovered his passion for concrete home decor products during the lockdown. The idea behind the brand was to turn dull concrete into interesting pieces and we fully that happening with the range of home decor products. Based out of Goa, the brand's collection of thoughtfully designed concrete decor pieces have pops of colour and design aesthetics that fully makes us appreciate the medium of concrete. Fun fact, jyamiti means geometry in Bengali.
Take the pen stand, for instance, it doubles up as a planter too and features pops of colour and you can pick them in sets to have on your work desk. We love the terrazzo finish that features on most of the collection -- be it the coasters, the mosaic plates, trivets, or box holders. There are also table lamps, bookends, and an entire shelf made from concrete you can purchase online on their website. The bookshelf comes in two sets which you can place in the corner or buy more pieces and build your modular bookshelf.
