What Makes It Awesome

The moment you walk into K-Food Antenna Shop, say goodbye to your grocery budget and your willpower. There's no way you're walking out of this Korean grocery store in Kalyan Nagar without the whole store in your grocery bag. The Korean grocery is the latest entrant to answer Bangalore's Korean food demand and honestly, they've answered it 10/10. From the cold section to the noodles, you'll find almost all the Korean food and condiments to truly dive into the Korean food culture.

Whether you start at the instant food section or not, you'll find instant noodles that are beyond the Samyang brand of noodles that everyone associates Korean instant noodles or ramyun with. Plus in flavours ranging from the usual kimchi to bone broth. We even spotted ready-to-eat rice as well as instant bibimpap. In the condiments section, there's everything from gochujang to fish sauce and sesame oil to soba sauce. Luncheon meat is aplenty with the SPAM brand available in various sizes. We also picked up some curry sauce and jjajang sauce. Oh and lest we forget, there are so many different flavoured seaweed.

In the cold section, we spotted everything from mandu (dumplings) to seaweed rolls and frozen udon noodles to fish cakes. There's also a wide range of cold cuts as well as prawn and octopus pickles. We spotted meatballs, steak burger patties, and tteokbokki. There's also pickled radish and whatnot that's perfect for your gimbap. While you are at the cold section, do yourself a favour and pick up some beverages, namely Pocari Sweat.

We're not halfway through the store yet but definitely don't forget to check out the flour and seasoning section. You'll find bread to dumpling flour as well as bone broth powder, soybean powder and soup powders.

Pro-Tip

If you are going there on weekdays (Monday to Thursday), you can eat your instant noodles at the outlet. After paying for it, the staff gives you hot water and you can have a snack after your grocery haul. Like we did.
