I don’t think we’ve stayed at home more than we have in the last one year, and thankfully for us loungers, styles have evolved to be more comfortable, easy, and sometimes, with a touch of glam. Kalai is a brand that brings this aesthetic to life in their range of accessories that we’re really enjoying. Easy on the eyes, skin, and general body they have a range of light, versatile and indigenously crafted accessories. Scrunchies, headbands, masks, and dupattas among other things is what they have to offer.
The scrunchies are available in organza and satin (oversized and regular), in muted hues, and packs of three on LBB. Their masks are all triple layered, and at the moment you get cotton options with Chikankari work on pastel fabric, or even in satin or velvet. Available with elastic bands, these masks are plain yet great for matching with dressy options. Should you want something with designs, check out their silk masks with adjustable straps. Design wise, they’re split into two, with one side embellished, while the other remains plain. My favourite at the moment is the Itara Silk mask. Perfect to match with Indian and festive ensembles.
The dupattas available are all in light, buttery Chanderi options, and at INR 700 are fully worth the price. They also have an exquisite Ghazal Kantha Embroidery Reversible dupatta for INR 1300, which is intricate as it is useful!
