Opus is back and how! And with the reopening of the city’s favourite place, weekend plans seem to be sorted. Why? Because with great power…no wait that’s not it. We mean with the great Opus comes great Kroaknights! Hang on, you don’t know what that is? Well, it’s only the most iconic karaoke night the city had. And they stopped for a while, but back in the day, you’d have to wait for hours for your turn, and if you didn’t get a chance, you’d return the week after for it! From terrible Britney Spears covers, even worse Elvis Presley ones, and some moderately decent Bon Jovi renditions, Kroaknights are all about belting out some retro tunes like no one is watching. Now that you know what it is, aren’t you waiting to give it a shot?
Calling All You Beyonces And Bathroom Singers: Opus Kroaknights Are Officially Back
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
Whether you’re young, not so young, fun or boring, this night is for anyone who wants to have a brilliant time. Those of you blessed with a good voice, you’re lucky. You should go. But all you bathroom singers out there, this is your time to shine. No one will judge you even if you sound like a duck quacking in distress. So, listen to all those old retro tunes {we know you want to sing I Will Survive} today, and prep yourself with all those tunes, put on your best clothes {you never know whom you might end up singing with}, down on some beer and sing along.
Why Should I Go For It?
From making new friends to singing out loud to classic and retro songs, you definitely don’t want to miss this one. You can be sure to tap your foot to the questionable covers or spot on covers of Bob Dylan, John Lennon, MJ, The Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion and a lot more who’ll transport you back to those retro times. We sense Justin Bieber finding his way onto the list too. But hey, why not! And if you are hoping for a solo, be prepared for it to end up being a duet, triplet and even a group song because at this place, there’s no holding people back. Carlton Braganza, the mastermind behind this concept and of course Opus, will be there to rock the evening with his band. We are also hoping that like always, he will end the night with Frank Sinatra’s New York New York.
When: Sunday, December 17
Where: OPUS, Harlur Road, Off Sarjapur Layout.
