The information in this post might be outdated

The popular flea market, Kitsch Mandi is back with another edition, and that means an entire Sunday of shopping, food, activities, art and music. If you're the kind who gets easily confused {and distracted} by the many options available, we have just the thing to help you out. Here's our picks of what you should shop, eat and do at this all-new edition of Kitsch Mandi. Thank us later!

Bringing together yet another curated lineup of designers from across the country, this edition has quite a few brands for you to look out for. Love baubles? Head to Chennai-based brand, Alankaara's stall to check out their unique jewellery pieces — earrings, pendants, bangles and bracelets, with real flowers preserved in different mediums. Check out Greenopia's self-watering planters, perfect if you'd like to add a spot of greenery to your home or office desk without too much effort. We suggest you also pencil in Wonky Works {Gujarat-based design studio specialising in glass art} to your checklist, for their upcycled glassware, home decor pieces and funky planters.

Chomp On

All that shopping got you hungry? Hit up Big J's Catering and Grill for a mix of barbecue, Continental and Indian dishes. Think Honey Glazed Pork Ribs, Chicken Wings and biryani to load up on! If you're planning another round of food, there'll also be Khow Suey and Falafels, courtesy Pockets and Bowls.

Before you think it's all about shopping and food, they also have a handful of workshops lined up. We suggest you sign up for the book-binding workshop by Studio ABCD {a city-based sustainable design consultancy}. Apart from taking you through the process of upcycling and two styles of binding, it also includes a hands-on session to make your own book using recycled material.

Art Attack

While the decor of the open space will give you enough to gape at, there's more in store if you're hoping to score some artsy stuff for yourself. City-based artist, Sadhna Prasad {who's behind the design and decor of this edition} will be putting up prints of her artworks for sale. Also on offer will be art in the form of stickers, postcards and sketchbooks, from Curiosity Kills The Cat. Look out for their illustrated guides to making the perfect cup of filter coffee or chai.

Gig Alert
