Learn KonMari, The Japanese Art Of Decluttering And Organising At Muji's Free Workshop

The information in this post might be outdated

What Is It?

Organised by MUJI in association with Joy Factory, a clutter management company, this workshop will have you learning the Japanese art of decluttering and organising KonMari. A little bit of FYI on the KonMari method — it’s all about gathering together all your belongings, one category at a time and then keeping only those things that spark joy, and choosing a place for everything from then on. If that isn’t top-notch organising, then we don’t know what is. We say clear out your weekend schedule to learn the art of clearing out and de-cluttering.

Who Is It For?

It’s for anyone who thinks their home or the office desk space is in mess. And it’s also for anyone moving into a new home, who want to set it up with minimal fuss. Since KonMari is about keeping only things that make you happy, maybe it’s time you got rid of those knick-knacks, tattered rags or gifts from your ex {the work’s happening after V-Day, just so you know}. Yup, and that cracked mug too.

Why Should I Go For It?

Rather than spending your weekend in a mess, learning how to get rid of the mess once and for all, should be enough reason for you to attend this workshop. The KonMari method, invented by Japanese organising consultant Marie Kondo, will be showcased using MUJI products. Another thing that you will also learn at the workshop is Joy Factory’s C2S2 Approach. It basically stands for Collect, Choose, Scrap and Store, wherein it ensures a streamlined and effective approach to de-cluttering and storing.
