This festive season, learn Devanagari Calligraphy with Prashant Athalye on November 1 at 11am via Zoom. Devanagari Script is used for Indian languages such as Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi and Konkani. This 90 minutes workshop will introduce you to Calligraphy in Devanagari script by Prashant Athalye who is a calligraphy artist and works with both Devanagari and English scripts. The objective of this workshop is to introduce the participant to the basics of calligraphy in Devanagari, the aesthetic aspect of the script and how it can be used to create artwork.

How to hold and use devanagari calligraphy pen
Calligraphic Structure of devanagari letters
How to draw the basic shapes and construct letters
Variations of Devanagari Using devanagari script for artistic compositions
Materials required :
A4 size sheets of 100 gsm plain paper
Pencil or fine tip pen to draw lines
Six inch or 12 inch ruler
Devanagari Fountain Pens
Please note that this is an introductory workshop for writing, lettering and art enthusiasts. Prior experience in art or calligraphy is not required. However, participants should have preliminary knowledge of reading and writing in devnagari script. The workshop is priced at INR 300 per person.
