Dal Pakhwan, Teevan & Alu Tuk: Check Out This Sindhi Festival Curated By Suresh Hinduja At Limelight

Legend Of Sindh: Sindhi Food Festival

What's Happening?

We had a chance to try out the Legend Of Sindh, a 10-day Sindhi food festival curated by food writer and culinary professional Suresh Hinduja at Limelight in Hotel Royal Orchid. The festival puts the limelight on Sindhi cuisine through some forgotten, some popular, and a modern take on traditional recipes. The festival is on until the end of this month and you can head to the festival for lunch or dinner and try out some of our favourites such as the ever-popular dal pakhwan which will be served from the live kitchen that will also be dishing out tikki chola, and the wood-fired mutton teevan, which for us was the standout dish. Some of the signature dishes include the wheat and millet tandoori rotis, Bajra Khichdi, Kutiyal Murgh (another favourite of ours), Sindhi Biryani, Sindhi Curry, and Methi Machi.

How’s the venue?

The festival will be happening at Limelight, an all-day dining restaurant at Hotel Royal Orchid.

Make a note

Do try Mr. Hinduja’s signature cocktail - Sheila Kijwani which feature sandalwood and jasmine notes.
