Quick Hydrafacials to Red Carpet Treatments at Le'jeune Medspa

Want a quick facial before you head out to paint the town red? Or, perhaps a pampering one to get rid of stress? Count on Le’jeune Medspa to save the day.

Cosmetologist Dr. Shuba Dharmana’s interest in skin-related issues and the sense of satisfaction she felt in solving them are what led her to start her own clinic, or medspa, as she prefers to call it. First opened in Hyderabad, Le’jeune Medspa’s success {her clientele apparently includes Tollywood celebrities even} encouraged her to start one in Bangalore, when she moved here two and a half years ago. Apart from offering a range of skin and hair care services {includes everything from skin polishing to hair transplants}, they also let you indulge in a selection of Red Carpet Facials {popular among Hollywood celebrities, Dr. Shuba adds}. So, if you’re up for a Vampire Facelift {like Kim Kardashian} or a Snake Venom Facial {said to be a favourite of Gwyneth Paltrow}, Le’jeune is where you should head to.

If you are not as daring as that {we certainly we not!}, try the Hydrafacial, like us. The facials here combine medical expertise and the pampering care you’d expect at a spa, along with a surprise element. Using only serums, the Hydrafacial procedure is mostly done with a device which uses plastic plates, suction and the specific serum to treat your skin. First off, a cleansing serum was applied to remove all the dirt and grime, leaving the face ready for a spot of exfoliation and a mild peel. The slight nip of the device as it works on the skin was far from painful, and we gladly sat through the peel, which had a serum of glycolic acid and salicylic acid to loosen the blackheads and whiteheads. The extraction process, scouring the nose for the troubling blemishes, was slightly uncomfortable and suffocating {the doctor advised us to breathe through the mouth} but worth the effort. Wrapped up with a hydrating antioxidant serum and then some sunscreen, the facial took not more than 20 minutes, leaving us with fresh-looking {and feeling} and cleansed skin.
