When I was going for a solo trip in Maldives, everyone said that it's a honeymoon destination and stuff, but I didn't listen. I was adamant as always, and I tell you I feel glad that I did that. I planned everything in two weeks, and I enjoyed the stay throughout with no regrets. Even though I stayed in different islands first few days of the trip but here I want to start my story from boarding the speedboat for Paradise Island Resort. The moment you land there, you feel heavenly. The vibe of the place is something that cannot be explained in words. It's a huge island but very nicely organized. You will definitely get lost in the property first day - soooo many subsections; each with extensive carpet area! But it's worth strolling around the entire place. I will now mention some experiences which stand out in my memory lane and make me miss the place.
Snorkeling, Diving and Multiple water sports - I cannot start to describe the beauty of Maldives water; it is a treat to your eyes and mind. Even though it started with beach tanning (not that I need it) but yeah you know how it is! 😎 I made couple of friends from Argentina and we went snorkeling together. This was my very first time at snorkeling and I don't know swimming, so I was pretty scared in the beginning. But those beautiful girls were really friendly and helped me to have a good experience.
4 Multi cuisine in-house restaurants - I got invited for a complimentary sushi and cocktail party that was arranged for selective guests. Trust me, this made me feel so good. The food was obviously good, but the ambience, view and lucid flow of air made the dining unforgettable. I met many interesting people there; the cocktail chef shared his life story which was fascinating.
Shark Feeding in the night - This was an amazing experience. One of the rare things that anyone would do in their lives. I have some videos which I watch from time to time.
Relax Yoga Classes in the mornings by Seaside - This was a short and crisp session but when the crystal clear blue sea water view is there to accompany you, what else do you need?
Water Yoga Class in the Swimming pool - This was so much fun. The trainer was super entertaining and was making all of us laugh sooo much throughout the session. Cannot forget that ever! I attended the session on my last day in the resort and believe me, I was in tears and was not willing to come back!
I could not choose a better place for a solo trip. I think everyone needs to go for atleast one solo trip - it's liberating. Undoubtedly this was one of the best trips I have taken till date. I'm eagerly waiting the lockdown to be lifted; I would love to visit the paradise again.
