Ten-second takeaway

We are stoked that indie, English folk artiste Lucy Rose is stopping by for a performance in the city.

Folk tunes

First it was Jack  Steadman, lead vocalist of English indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club who stopped by the city a few months back, and now it is former vocalist (also of Bombay Bicycle Club) Lucy Rose, who will be making a pit stop. And we can't be pleased enough. Starting off as a vocalist for the English indie rock band, Bombay Bicycle Club, Lucy Rose stepped into the spotlight with her debut album, Like I Used To, featuring acoustic melodies, her signature soprano voice and beautiful lyrics. Since then, this English singer-songwriter has come a long way, gaining quite a following. Lucy will be performing in Bangalore as part of her first India tour, courtesy The Humming Tree.

On the playlist

Sit back for an evening of nu folk music with hints of rock as Lucy takes you through popular tracks from her two albums - Like I Used To and Work It Out. Be it the intimate feel and lyrics of tracks like Middle of the Bed, Night Bus and Shiver or the more dancey tunes with electronic twitches such as Sheffield, Like An Arrow and Our Eyes, her music is bound to bowl you over. And, we're definitely hoping to catch her performing some of those songs for us!
