Nondita, the founder and artist of Earthen Ardour will be teaching us the step by step process of recycling a plank of MDF/Cardboard/Wood/Old wooden chopping board into a beautiful hand-painted quirky board.
In this session you will learn:
1. Basics of manual stencil making
2. How to create background on the plank
3. How to write on the plank
4. Use of stencils and finishing touch of the surface
5. Sealing of the surface
You will need the following materials for the workshop:
1. A plank of MDF/Cardboard/Wood/Old wooden chopping board (preferably a square or rectangular piece)
2. 200 GSM acrylic/water colour compatible sheet
3. Any hard, beautifully shaped small fresh/artificial leaf
4. Carving knife
5. Acrylic colours/chalk paints
6. Old cloth
7. Gesso
8. Trace down carbon paper (black or white)
9. Printed quote (one liner) in big and beautiful font
10. Paint brushes
11. Masking tape
12. Basic stationery items (like pencil, eraser, scale, scissor etc.)
13. Varnish/Mod podge/Clear lacquer spray gloss or matte finish
14. Fevicol
15. Hairdryer (optional)
16. 2 sharp nails and hammer (optional)
17. Rope or sturdy string (optional)
18. Tassels and beads (optional)
19. Medium size foam roller (optional)
20. Small or medium sponge piece/sponge brush (optional)
