If you're a biker or have taken road trips along the Bengaluru-Hassan Highway, then chances are you've passed, heard or even had a meal at Malgudi Mylari Mane. Now, the good news for people like this writer is that there's no need to make a road trip to Nelamangala. Malgudi Mylari Mane's second outlet is located well within Bangalore and the bustling lanes of Koramangala. You won't find riders here in their full gear chowing down on fluffy Mylari dose, but rather you'll find people like this writer in their shorts drinking the paya soup like its water. It's better than water, to be honest.

The menu is Karnataka-style naati (or local) food inspired by the Kaveri region. Meat plays a prominent role in the menu. Start off with the Mylari dose, a fluffy type of dosa famous in Mysuru. They'll serve it to you with the whole works—a dollop of butter, coconut chutney, and a saagu. But you can always upgrade your meal as we did with Chicken Pepper Fry, Mutton Chops, and Chicken Keema Goju. The mutton chops are probably the best we've had and honestly, ordering another plate or two is highly recommended, because you'll have dreams about them later. And you don't want to feel like you didn't have enough. Wash it all down with butter milk or lime juice.
