MNS Tea Stall, Maddur, Karnataka

MNS Tea Stall in located in Maddur of the Bengaluru-Mysore Highway. While heading from Bengaluru towards Mysore, this little tea shop is on the left hand side of the highway in the town of Maddur. You can also ask the locals to guide you to the mixture angadi (shop). It's on the highway so you won't have much confusion in finding this place.

MNS Tea Stall has decades of history summing two generations of the family. Though they are named as a tea stall, they are famous for they various types of mixture (namkeen) , Maddur vade and their tea.
They only open for about 4-5 hours everyday i.e, until stocks last.

The crowd starts gathering from about 3pm which is mix of localities and travellers. The stock starts coming in at 3:45pm and the tea stall is ready to serve by 4pm.

They bring about 200-300 Maddur vades which is usually over within 20-30 minutes and about 200kgs of various types of mixture which is usually over in about 4-5 hours and he closed as and when the stock gets exhausted. Their Maddur vades are hot when served and would be prepared freshly. The mixtures are prepared everyday and sold immediately to pass on the experience of aroma and flavours to the customers which has built them a loyal base over the past few decades. The food is prepared by family members and secret recipe is restricted to their family .

I plan my travel ensuring a stop atvthis little yet loving teas stall.

Now that's my version of Highway on my plate. #rockyandmayur
