Rev It Up At Meco Kartopia, India’s First International Go-Karting Track

With 1.2 kilometres of pro-karting track, a training academy, safety barriers and even a shorter dirt track, if Meco Kartopia doesn’t get you excited, nothing else will!

Do you feel the need? The need for speed? If the answer is yes, then you’re at the right place. If not, then close your eyes, picture yourself whizzing by on a go-kart, winning the race. Now assuming you are in great need for speed, head off to Meco Kartopia for a super fun day with friends or family. And of course, high levels of adrenaline!

Touted to be the country’s first international pro kart track, this one is backed by legendary racer, Akbar Ebrahim, so you know it is serious business. What we love about this place is that it’s great for groups, families and even for couples {they have a twin kart, you see!}. Offering two levels of pro karts – 7BHP or 16 BHP, you can race at speed up to 40 miles per hour. We love that the track mixes things up for the driver with a few hairpin bends, lots of straight lines to really step on it and show off those Michael Schumacher moves and a few curves that will be perfect to practice overtaking manoeuvres. We can’t wait to try the dirt track, next time.

If, like me, you’re into racing, you’ll be pleased to know that the track is approved by The Federation of Motorsports Clubs of India {FMSCI} which also credits the Buddh International in Noida. So much prestige factor right there! For the fun aspect, 750 metres of the track is open to play about on, with a shorter 450 metre circuit for beginners too.

For serious kart drivers, the whole stretch is open through the Meco Karting Academy. Have a kid interested in racing, make sure they’re part of the academy — it’s a great facility. Just give them a shot on the baby kart which is sufficiently powerful, and maybe they’ll take to the sport.

They rent out the entire track with karts if you want a private event {please invite us!}. Prices for that start at INR 15,000 for the hour and six adult karts, plus one baby kart.
