When Megha Kapoor and Priyanka Vinod connected through common friends, something more than their eye for fashion clicked. The two started brainstorming about their love for fashion and realised they wanted to create a brand for the millennial market. As their Instagram channels garnered more engagement asking about where they got bought their clothes or accessories, from their thigh-high shoes to metallic overalls, the next step was obvious – to start a clothing brand. Realising that there they was a huge demand for international fashion trends, without the headache of custom duties – MePri {as they call themselves} got to work. They now have a beautiful store that looks like it is straight out of a glamorous dressing room with velvet curtains and stylish decor.

What is great about Millennial Mode is that rather than following trends, the two creators are more focussed on making things they love. Often looking to Instagram for inspiration, all the collections are limited edition, with starting prices from INR 1,800. And since all the pieces are exclusive, you can rest assured that you have something very special and unique for yourself.

Currently, the collection has a curation of western wear for every occasion, velvet tops, trousers and dresses. We asked them what their favourite piece of clothing is from the collection — for Megha it is a pair sheer pants, that comes with a matching pair of shorts to be worn inside — black, offbeat and flirty. Priyanka’s favourite is a bold red dress, with overlapping pleats that make it a work of art to shimmy in. Almost like a sexy tango dancer.

For all those glamorous occasions, you can also get a custom made ethnic wear. Far from standard lehengas and anarkalis, expect designer savvy touches like dhoti pants, sheer embroidered capes and pop-printed crop tops. Whatever it is, you are promised a look that goes with your personality and style. A few collections are available  for display at the store, but they custom make those pieces according to your measurements.
