Jewellery is a companion that breezes with us through all seasons, but not all jewellery is necessarily made for every season. Right, gals? This leads to more of "oh I need another pair or oh this doesn't go with this outfit", on loop, every month or even sooner! Oh only if you had shopped from Mirada Kollektive! Founded and run by one woman for every modern woman, this Bangalore label boasts a range of beautifully crafted pieces that exudes sleek feminism while being quietly confident and strong. We say quietly because they are all innately minimal and therefore, timeless.
Shobhaa is clearly after making Mirada Kollektive a mainstay in your jewellery box. For one, she does not mess with geometrical shapes -- sticking to classics like circles, semicircles, squares (that never go out of style). Just that within it she slips in some movement like waves or folds and textures like ridges or grooves. When she decides to go abstract -- she goes all the way (check out the unique Sydney Hoops). The colour palette is again earthy -- mauves, terracottas, sand, olives, slate, creams and tans and antique gold.
Shobhaa's current favourite material is polymer clay through which she has brought alive many collections -- some of favourites are the Nordic Neutrals (Siara Necklace) and By The Sea (Kaia Earrings) but she won't be limiting herself to just clay. Plans are to soon introduce mixed mediums like precious metals, wood and concrete to create similar minimal statement and daily wear pieces that won't need to make a switch every time your outfit does.
