When in Goa, there’s no real point staying away from the beach. That is why we love Montego Bay so much. Smack on the North Goa Morjim beach, it’s even got a coconut grove in it, giving you ample choice if you dislike sand. There’s five types of accommodation, each vastly different from the other. So families who like to up the luxe factor a bit should pick the Casa-de-Mudanca. A large bungalow with five AC rooms, it’s got all the makings of a fancy hotel, including Wi-Fi. Log Cabins (we’re looking straight at you romantic couples) are rustic and in the grove so you can enjoy nature. Upsize it to the cabin with AC if you’re a bit fussy.
Along the same lines are the beach tents and we’ve grown very partial to these beauties for multiple reasons. Not least of all being they’re closest to the shores! It’s also a fantastic experience to live in a tent camp style but without the fear of a crab crawling into your ear! Feeling like splurging? They’ve even got a Beach Villa that overlooks the beach and is great for a group of four.
We know you’re there for the sun and sand, but should you want to do anything different, perhaps the pool will tempt you. It looks onto the sea, so is great to just lounge in with the benefits of the same view, but minus the public roaming into your space! Up for some yoga? The resort is happy to organise a session. But it’s really the karaoke you should try. Or more importantly, egg everyone on and then get out your smart phone, film the disastrous performances and Instagram to your heart’s content! Also, while multi-cuisine food is on offer, be good to yourself – stick to seafood and Goan fare. Then thank us for that tip later!
