Ten-second takeaway

Watch a selection of French feature films and shorts online with the sixth edition of My French Film Festival. And, there will be screenings in Bangalore, too!

Digital fest

Started with a focus on new generation French filmmakers, My French Film Festival has already kicked off its sixth edition this year. Sticking to its signature online format, they have teamed up with over 30 Video On Demand platforms (from Google Play to iTunes), so film enthusiasts across the globe can access the movies selected for the festival. Going by their lineup, you get to watch ten French feature films and shorts which are included in the competition section, a French cinema classic and a selection of Belgian and Canadian films. While the shorts can be viewed for free, you will be charged a certain amount (INR 147) for the other options. But, that's not all!

The French connection

Organised by Alliance Francaise de Bangalore (one of the institutional partners for the festival), five selected French films will be screened for the city's movie buffs. Pick from romantic flicks such as Caprice (a 2015 rom-com directed by Emmanuel Moret) and La Belle Saison (Summertime, a French-Belgian lesbian drama by Catherine Corsini), or thrillers like Coup de Chaud (Heat Wave, by Raphaël Jacoulot, known for its singular approach and powerful subject) and L'Affaire SK1 (SK1, based on the true story of the hunt and trial of a 1990s serial killer). Adding some drama to the blend is Les Chateaux de Sable (Sand Castles, by Olivier Jahan).
