A swanky, new store to open shop in the lanes of Indiranagar, Myrah (Greek for princess) features vibrant and stylish pieces from budding designers from across India while also offering customised clothing.

One of a kind

Ditching her job as technical writer in IT, Sreetama Ghosh who used to constantly dabble with styling as a hobby, decided to pursue her passion for fashion. So, four months ago, Myrah India came into being. Spread across two-floors, the chic store displays the handiwork of 18 budding designers from across the country.

Through her travels across Europe and India, Sreetama found plenty of tiny stores and designers who had a knack for crafting beautiful pieces but couldn’t find their time in the spotlight. Myrah, she says, is that platform that helps small-time designers to shine. The store features one-of-a-kind pieces from upcoming talents like Abhinav Mishra, Radhika Gulati, and Abhilasha in the Indian wear section. There’s also Shineyele who crafts stunning fusion-wear, and Ankita Bajaj and Madhurima Bhattacharya for western wear.

Custom couture

If you’d like to get a dress, lehenga, skirt, or a top tailormade to suit your style or for an occasion, Myrah is the place for you. After getting a feel of what you are looking for, Myrah sources the fabric, collaborates with the right designer, gets your blessing on the final sketch and has your piece ready between 15-30 days.

Navya considers herself to be the Cassandra of the 21st century – no one ever listens to the wisdom that she so willingly imparts. This is the only Greek tragedy element in her otherwise happy life. She’s got her Husband Charming, has perfected the art of sarcasm, is always fed copious amounts of good food, and is well on her way to self-actualization.
