What Makes It Awesome

In the quiet bylanes of Indiranagar, Nanav is a wonderful archetype of the decor stores we love browsing through. Set up in 2019, the store has everything from apparel to books from Indian authors, and even a cafe (another recommendation for another time)!

Everything in the store is created in India (and we hear handmade) and curated by the store owner. Working with artisans across the country, find colourful jewellery from the North East, as well as local brands (we’re loving the ecased press-flower jewellery). The lifestyle store also stocks apparel (men and women). Made for their inhouse brand, each is a unique piece available in limited sizes. What we found delightful was their collection of books. Though limited, it’s all by Indian authors and almost always features art that’s inherently Indian. So you’ll see a pictorial telling of the Mahabharata meant for children, but us adults will definitely like it too. Similarly find activity based books (art, cooking, travel, among others) that feature impressive art.

Their homeware section features clay kitchen (and table) accessories, stone kitchenware (which can double up as decor should that fit your aesthetic), and decorative accents made of coconut husks, metal, and plant based fibres. Think jute, bamboo, hemp, and coconut leaves. Speaking of kitchen, their in house brand also produces and stocks cold pressed oils (for cooking and topical application), spices (pepper, Himalayan pink salt, cardamom, and cinnamon among others), flours, and millets among others.

Pro-Tip

They have a cute cafe upstairs with organic and healthy options.
