Nandi Kalagram is an artistic workshop space for super curated activities and classes, whether it’s classical dance or sculpting.

What Makes It Awesome

Imagine the days of the Gurkul system where all learning took place under a green canopy; pick up an artsy hobby in the same environment at Nandi Kalagram in Devanahalli.  Among other things, they promote and conduct classes and workshops for art, photography, yoga, urban gardening, and (classical) dance forms.

Being near Nandi Hills, and on the outskirts of the city, the space is still green and serene, bringing out the best of your creative flair. The space is largely used for workshops and classes by visiting and in-house faculty respectively. To keep the sessions interactive and immersive, they don’t allow more than 30 registrations per class or workshop. The workshops are curated to cater to specific interests. For instance, urban gardening would be tailored to creating and maintaining a kitchen garden, or organic plant care; photography could be aimed at beginners, or pros, whatever the subject (like wildlife, or portrait). The more intensive workshops go on for more than a day, and yes they do have the amenities for staying the night. The registration fees would be inclusive of stay and food.

If you’re a skilled, creative person and have some knowledge to impart, contact them to conduct a workshop. If you’re looking to attend, keep an eye on the calendar on their website.

What Could Be Better

While getting there isn't a problem, getting back to the city using public transport might be a problem.
