Imagine our happiness when we found out that 12th Main’s new addition is a pizzeria. Serving our perennial favourite, the pizza, this cosy restaurant goes by the name The Pizza Bakery. With the interiors neatly done up in a black and white colour scheme and pretty planters dotting the space, especially the cutesy balcony, this pizzeria is more than just a pizza joint — perfect for that first date as well as lunch with the squad.
But enough about the space, because it’s the pizzas that we need to talk about. We looked at their pizza-centric pre-launch menu and one thing was clear — cheese. And lots of it. Bocconcini, mozzarella, burrata, and parmesan all make their way on to the slices that feature everything from Spanish Chorizo to Shiitake mushrooms and pork belly, crispy bacon, and lamb ragu to prawns and salmon. The two wood-fired ovens that deliver crispy and perfectly chewy pizzas are already up and running, the only thing left is the semi-covered terrace seating + bar to open up. The bar serves wine, craft beer (Geist), regular beer and wine cocktails as well.
