Oh yes, you read that right. Seven new places (we are not counting the countless other places we hear rumours about are opening) that we think is going to be a hit with the folks of Koramangala. Some of them are city’s popular restaurants opening their next venture, while others are places that add to Koramangala’s growing list eateries. Do note that some of these places are already operational, while others are putting final touches. So, don’t go asking at work-in-progress places for a table!
Koramangala Peeps, You've Got 7 New Restaurants For You To Check Out Soon
If you have been to UB City, chances are that you’d have dined at Fava. The Mediterranean restaurant is opening its second branch at 5th Block Koramangala, where Ministry Of Pizza used to be. The place is still being set up but that doesn’t stop us thinking about the Polenta Crusted Goat’s Cheese & Thyme Rolls. Or the Smoked Salmon Labneh. Don’t get us even started on the Juicy Lamb Chops, and Pork Spare Ribs. Oh, and the absolutely lip-smacking Baked Lemon Cheesecake or their house special – Baklava.
Pot O Noodles
Koramangala badly needed a ramen-only place and Pot O Noodles is opening is nothing short of a miracle. The Indiranagar hotspot for ramen will be opening its second outlet in 4th Block Koramangala diagonally opposite Nasi and Mee, where Off The Radar, the travel cafe, used to be. Teriyaki Chicken Ramen and Chilli Ramen with Grilled Chicken are our favourites. We are hoping that they retain all the classics such as dim sums and Khao Seuy along with their signature Ramen Burger in this new outlet. Another thing we are hoping is that they have an AC set up or at least more fans as the Indiranagar one can get quite hot during summer.
Just when you thought Koramangala’s bar and nightlife is beyond saturation point, you’ve got a new one to prove you wrong. Not much is out there in the open but from what we hear, XOOX is going to be a brewery and it’s opening at 7th Block Koramangala near to Koramangala Social. Food is expected to be a mix of Modern Indian fare along with Continental dishes.
Yes, we are suckers for anything falafel and Arabic. Located near Wipro Park, this spot is yet to open but we to chanced upon their menu which has got nothing but falafels. Falafel pita pockets, falafel rolls, falafels, falafel burger, falafel salad, and falafel plate are what you can order. Plus, Hummus and baklava. Everything’s under INR 100 and that makes this place our new best friend when it comes to eating on a budget.
La Pino'z Pizza
Opening just opposite Sotally Tober, La Pino’z Pizza is an Ahmedabad-based pizza chain that serves personal pizza slices to 24-inch monster pizzas. According to their menu in Ahmedabad and Gurgaon outlets, they only serve vegetarian pizzas with plenty of toppings in the form of mushrooms, paneer, pineapples, jalapenos, and fresh cheese. We are looking forward to ordering personal slices because hey, what’s better than a slice of pizza that’s been made for you and your palate, right? And not to share!
The Enav Bowl
Among all that greasy food, pizza slices, and lamb chops, The Enav Bowl is a new place that’s up and running. Serving all kinds of healthy grub, it a great detox spot. Smoothies come with oats and are sugar-free, there’s coffee for certain indulgences, and there’s fresh detox juice to keep you all happy and in control of what you are eating. Soups and salads for light bites while wings and Chimichurri Chicken keeps things interesting. Pasta, steak, and burritos wrap up the cafe’s Mexican-Continental fare.
Koramangala peeps, you don’t need to make that trek to Orzuv in Whitefield to try some Kashmiri delights. Cashmere Nites serves up a limited but interesting Kashmiri menu with Marche Wangan Korma to Kashmiri Rogan Josh. It’s a very meaty affair, with little for the vegetarians with Kashmiri Dum Aloo a winner. There are thalis too with assortments of rista, goshtaba, mirchi korma, rice, phirni, and kehwa.
