10 Brands Doing Non-Alcoholic Drinks For The Teetotallers & Designated Drivers

The Mumbai-based brand does a range of non-alcoholic or as they call it Zero Proof drinks in three distinct flavours -- Rum & Cola, G&T, and Pink G&T. We've had the Rum & Cola and it tastes just like how the alcoholic variant would. It's a low-calorie cola that's flavoured with vanilla, caramel and cinnamon. The Pink G&T has strawberry infusions and is flavoured with juniper and various citruses. 

The craft beer brand has a range of non-alcoholic cocktails in three assorted flavours and is marketed as Kati Patang Not -- Old Fashioned, Cosmopolitan, and G&T. These are non-alcoholic sparkling cocktails by the way. If you've never tried G&T in your life, then you'll enjoy the junipers and the lemon & basil notes of the G&T. The popular alcohol mixers brand has a range of mocktails in four flavours that are a take on the popular alcoholic variants -- Mountain Mojito, Mango Colada, Mexican Mule, and Classic Colada. These mocktails come in cans and so pop a few in the fridge and when you are ready to party, take them out, open them, and enjoy them. The Mexican Mule is our favourite with its tangy & spicy flavours courtesy of the tamarind concentrate and cumin. Also, according to the brand, these mocktails are pro-bartender like drinks.

Their six-pack assorted flavours are what we recommend you to try since you get to drink a German Lager, Cranberry, Peach, Ginger, Strawberry, and an interesting Kiwi Mint one.  It's got 0.0 per cent alcohol making it truly perfect for road trips, house parties with folks who like drinking but have to drive back home, for game nights, and of course teetotallers. The brand also does flavoured seltzers. 

The brand does a non-alcoholic Ginger Beer along with two ales -- Ginger Ale and Grapefruit Ale. What's interesting is that the brand sources its gingers from Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh, a place known for its amazing Indian ginger. Also, these drinks make use of all-natural ingredients such as lemon juice and cane sugar. Another fun fact, the ginger beer is fermented of course, so it has a more rounded ginger flavour, is less sweet and is more beer-y. Contrastingly, the ale is sharper and sweeter. 

The Denmark-based beverage brand was created by Morten Sørensen, as part of his 100-day alcohol-free challenge. Created for mindful drinkers, designated drivers, and teetotallers, the brand has three drinks that are meant for mixing into cocktails or with soda -- GinISH, RumISH, and Gin & TonicISH. GinISH is made from natural botanicals such as juniper berries, coriander seeds and chilli and is a bit cloudy due to the texture of the botanicals. It contains 0.5 per cent alcohol which is considered to be alcohol-free. RumISH on the other hand is made from natural botanicals such as Madagascar vanilla, nutmeg, baked apple and chilli. This is also labelled with less than 0.5 per cent alcohol.

This German brand does a Sparkling Chardonnay that's made with 100% Chardonnay grapes and is dealcoholized. It has no added sugar or artificial aromas. Also, according to the brand's ingredient list, with 2.9 g of sugar per 100ml, it’s almost half the sugar content of other non-alcoholic sparkling wine. And with just 14 calories per glass,  say hello to hangover-free drinking the night away.

The Scotland-based beer company does non-alcoholic beer with currently the Hazy IPA available. We tried it and we quite like the citrusy and fruity mouthfeel the drink has. According to the brand, they dry hop fresh Simcoe, Citra, and Mosaic to give that full-bodied mouthfeel.
