Recently visited North Indian Bhukkads- NIB to try out their delicious, North Indian food. I was bowled over by the taste. The Dhaba style ambience of the place reminds me the highway dhabas.
We started off with piping hot samosas and kachoris which were lip smacking good. The aloo filled flaky samosas were heavenly! The samosas also had a few paneer pieces in them which were an element of surprise.
Next up were the tandoori dishes- Malai paneer tikka and stuffed mushroom tikka which were both delicious. The paneer was soft and delicate, it was melt in the mouth. The stuffed mushroom had a creamy filling and the mushrooms were juicy and properly cooked. They had a lovely Smokey flavour of the tandoor. I loved the green chutney provided with it, it ties the whole dish together. The others also tried tandoori chicken and chicken seekh which they enjoyed.
Must try the chole bhature and sweet lassi. It was heavenly and quite authentic. Hot, crispy and comforting chole bhature with cool lassi to wash it down!
I also tried the kaju masala with garlic naan and cheese naan. Super creamy gravy with fried cashew pieces. Another must try dish here. The paneer makhni biryani was subtle and flavourful but I would have preferred a bit more spice to it.
Desserts were equally good. I tried the rabdi jalebi, gulab jamun, gajar ka halwa and moong dal halwa. I don’t have a sweet tooth but I really enjoyed the desserts as they weren’t overpoweringly sweet.
Overall great North Indian food at very affordable prices with a Dhaba style ambience perfect for family dinners or gathering with friends.
