There's so much to love about Uniqlo's aesthetic and we know that we're far from alone in this sentiment. The world pretty much is smitten by their colourful basics, quality athleisure, comfy jackets and graphic tees. But as much their name suggests an aspect of uniqueness, we feel their clothes are less trendy and more timeless. Their motto too states "simplicity, quality and longevity," something we all seek in our clothing. Now if for any reason you haven't been able to shop from Uniqlo, check out this list of brands that harbour similar clothing.

H&M

You already know it with this brand. Their alternatives to Uniqlo's basics for both men and women are spot on, plus the quality is right up there too. From cardigans & sweaters, fleece hoodies, graphic tees and tanks to puffer and down jackets to find everything in similar styles and colours (if you dig deeper) too!

The Label Life

One look at The Label Life's flannel-plaid button down shirts, tops & dresses and the loungewear for men and women, and you'll instantly know that they remind you of Uniqlo's shirts, tops and loungewear. Very comfy, and very everyday chic, nothing too dramatic.

Decathlon

Decathlon

Decathlon is basically Uniqlo's athleisure on a budget. Their down jackets paired with a full-sleeved sweatshirt (they have solid colours from grey, pink to maroon and olive for both men and women) could easily replicate Uniqlo's signature look, one that you sport a lot of influencers wear during the winters or colder months. They also have a wide collection of slim pants and warm trousers.

Exhale

Exhale

Everything about Exhale's great basics and daily casual wear screams Uniqlo to us. So functional, think of their sweatshirts, sweatpants, hoodies, tanks and tees as building blocks for your wardrobe. What's also to love are the minimal designs, asymmetrical cuts and pastel colours. Oversized is also a running theme in their clothing, now we're definitely more than sold.

Zara

Sure Zara deals with a lot of trendy clothing, but their leisure apparel is definitely on point with Uniqlo's straightforward aesthetic. Their cardigans for men and women especially in colours of fall, joggers, and co-ord loungewear sets are as close as you can get to channeling that simple yet universal appeal. Oh, and they've also got very Uniqlo type graphic tees.

Ruse

Hard to spot Indian brands that deal in graphic tees that aren't too loud or in your face, but thankfully, we found Ruse. Their tees are much like Uniqlo's and they have those signature short, half sleeves that don't hug the arms but rather taper out.

Dressfolk

Dressfolk is solely up here to match Uniqlo's Kurta Dresses for women that are rather uncomplicated, sit well and are just easy to move around with all day. Plus, they are very understated glamour just like Dressfolk's line.

June Studios

June Studios

From short rust coloured jackets to oversized button down shirts and trench coat A-line dresses and jumpsuits even, June Studios women's fashion gives us serious Uniqlo energy. Their use of solid colours with a mix of pastels and simple designs are the standout Uniqlo-like elements.

Rigo

Rigo's basics -- tees, sweatshirts and sweaters/cardigans and sweater dresses are what we would imagine wearing or layering under Uniqlo's down jackets and trench coats. They're as basic as basic can get but can look stylish so long as you pair them with the right add ons, much like you would Uniqlo's clothes, no?

No Nasties

No Nasties

Trying to be more conscious but miss hoarding from Uniqlo? No Nasties is your saviour. Their slogan is "We Care For Our Planet And Everyone On It" and they mean it. Not only do they source 100% certified organic cotton fabric to make their clothing, they practice fair trade and are PETA approved vegan. Coming to their dreamy clothing, it's comfort, comfort and more comfort all while being great alternative to Uniqlo basics. The earthy colours and silhouettes are very Uniqlo-esque and they cater across the board - in style/type of clothes for women, kids and men. We especially heart the baggy tops and hoodies.

March Tee

March Tee

There's Uniqlo cool and there's Match Tee cool, but the two definitely belong to the same hood, if you ask us. This local brand's tees for men and women are solid Uniqlo basic replacements, and especially match that zen vibe. They have a relaxed fit with extra body room (have easy arm movement), and are made from extra durable 100% cotton. Simplicity, quality and longevity, check.

Turn Black

Turn Black

You know how Uniqlo does not meddle with jazzy prints and anything that detracts from their no-nonsense i-got-my-life-together chi? Turn Black does the same but with all black clothing. With everything from skirts, shirts, tops to even co-ords and sarees for women and jackets, pants, and kurtas for men, all you will find is plain black fabric. But it's the designs and cuts that will make you want to hit "add to cart" each time.

Lila

Lila had us at 'relaxed and minimalist aesthetic' but it was their understated experimental bits and bobs (like a ruffled scoop neck or pleats) and edgy silhouettes that made us think Uniqlo. If you did check their dresses, tops and jackets that mostly come in muted colours, you know you could easily pull off a Uniqlo look.
