Dear parents, we know that now, since you're under house arrest you've been spending a lot more time with the kids and are looking for newer ways to keep them entertained. Time to thank Ranaga Shankara because they're here to help with the things to do list. They are taking the Theatre For Children programme, aka AHA! digital starting 18 April. This iconic theatre space in the city believes that this fun and informative cloud storytelling session will help develop cognitive and creative skills in your kids (it sure will!).
During this 10-day theatre event, 22 stories will be told in 6 different languages (Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and Sign) by 15 theatre artists from across the country. Ratna Pathak Shah, Arundhati Nag and Darius Sunawala are some of the artists on this popular line up. There will be two storytelling sessions that will be streamed on Ranga Shakara's official YouTube handle, starting Saturday at 11 am and 11:20 am.
These sessions are open to children between three and six years of age or anyone young at heart, we say! It's a fun activity for parents and kids to do together. The tales we hear will be inspired by everything from history, tradition to mythology and folk. To make things all the more lively, they will be narrated using props, puppetry and live music. Need more reason to be here with the kids? That's right, we think not too. Check out the YouTube channel here. Several trailers on the stories are out on Ranga Shankara's social media handles.
