What Makes it Awesome

Oota in Whitefield is all about serving you Karnataka on a platter. The restaurant, which is by Windmills (so you get their beer as well) has curated popular dishes from South Karnataka, the Canara coast, Mangalore, the Western Ghats, the Deccan tract of North Karnataka and the borderlands of the Hyderabad-Karnataka region for patrons to relish during lunch and dinner.

Starting with Mangalore Buns, Golibaje, Chicken Ghee Roast, and Maddur Vade in starters to salads such as North Karnataka-inspired Menthya Pachadi (fenugreek salad) and Pork Salad of Coastal Karnataka. We spied Kumbala Curry of Malnad and Coorg, Nati Koli Pulimunchi (country chicken in tamarind gravy) of Coastal Karnataka and Mutton Rassa of North Karnataka in the mains. Pandi Curry of Coorg is on the menu as well. Staples such as Akki Roti, Ragi Mudde, and Neer Dosa make up the rest of the menu along with desserts such as Elaneer Payasa (tender coconut kheer) of Coastal Karnataka.

They also have breakfast on weekends that includes Davangere Benne Dosa, Thatte Idli, Neer Dosa with Kurma, and Mudde Idli with Nati Koli Pulimunchi. Pair them with Filter Coffee and Pineapple Kesari Bath, and you've breakfast of champions.

“Oota Aita?” we ask.
