Want To Support Local Artists? Buy Art For What You Think It's Worth At The Courtyard Cafe

Bangalore’s newly formed Broke Artist Collective (we don't need to explain why that name we hope) is hosting an event called the Open mARTket at The Courtyard Cafe to create a platform for artists in an engaging way. Customers can take what they love and pay what they like for the art that appeals to them, be it illustrations, paintings, or photographs among others. Each artist’s work will be kept at the centre of the market in the courtyard, and they'll be hanging around, in case you want to chat. The money from the collection pot will be distributed equally to all the artists after the event. You can also take part in their open mic if you're a poet and you know it or if you just want to strum your guitar - all art is welcome here. 

The Courtyard is a cafe and community space that welcomes performances, workshops and gatherings. Their restaurant area makes some great food.
