What Makes It Awesome

When four friends took an intense liking to coffee way back in 2000 great things began to brew. Cut two, Red Earth Coffee Roasters came into being in 2019. "A long pursuit of the finest cup of coffee led us to creating it", shares Nikhil, one of the Co-Founders of this Bengaluru brand. Initially they began as a B2B platform with a roastery set out of Whitefield and catered to cafés in Bengaluru and cities in Tamil Nadu. Thankfully, although fairly recently, Red Earth has opened purchases to everyone!

Like most third wave coffee roasteries, Red Earth works directly with farmers to source sustainable delicious coffees. What makes them different? They cover a full stack of offerings to serve a whole set of demographics; from old-school coffee fanatics to millennials to functional consumers like athletes. Aside from Premium Filter Coffees, House Speciality Blends and Single Origin Coffees sourced from regions like Chickmaglur, Coorg and Darjeeling, they've also gone a step further, working with estates in Ethiopia, Costa Rica and Colombia to create their International blends.

Here's what comes highly recommended. If you're a true-blue Bengalurian, the Mysore Nuggets Filter Coffee Blend for its caramel notes and chocolate aftertaste. As a bonus you can also customise the coffee to chicory ratio. Morning Kickstarter from House Specialities is a raging hit, a bold coffee that jolts you awake. From the Single-Origin all Arabica coffees we like the sound of Araku, an organic coffee from the Araku Valley boasting a delicious berry flavour profile.

The international range will soon roll out soon, in a kit format too! Prices start at INR 250 upwards.

Pro-Tip

If you are new to the coffee scene, invest in Red Earth Coffee Roasters’ WFH Kit that includes both their House Specialities and a French Press. They also have a Supercharger Kit designed specifically for athletes.
