This Hidden Cafe On Shanthi Nagar's Double Road Is Located In A Beautiful Courtyard

What Makes It Awesome

What used to  be a spacious courtyard of a house near Shanthi Nagar Bus Stand is now a cafe with food and ambience worth spending an entire morning, afternoon or evening in. The Courtyard is an al fresco eatery, with all day breakfast, hearty eats and desserts too. Plus, their open air location is perfect to enjoy the current crazy, good Bangalore weather. It is an outdoor cafe and is nicely tucked away from all the noise and bustle of the traffic despite being on the busy and prominent KH (Double) Road. With wooden tables and garden chairs set next to the open air and a retro playlist of smooth jazz and bluesy tunes playing in the background, it creates a nice and easy mood around your dining experience

The menu here has all cafe classics — from popular brekkie options like French toast and a full breakfast, complete with all the trimmings like skillet baked eggs, mashed potato, sausages and bacon. There’s also sandwiches, pizzas, pastas and salads. This place has desserts too, albeit due to COVID-19, they have only their brownies with choice of sweet toppings. But perhaps the sweetest thing on their menu are the prices, starting at an easy INR 190 and going up to a modest INR 330. Do keep in mind that their menu is currently limited due to the pandemic.

With it’s charming outdoor setting surrounded by greenery, it’s easy to lose track of time here. The decor and set up of this place is fun and whimsical, with a large rooftop, a studio on the first floor and a green courtyard that transforms itself depending on the event, be it an open mic evening, comic festival or an organic farmer's market. And we spotted a swing we’re calling dibs on for the next time we’re there. Ideal for a date or just to find someone new to spark a conversation or more, we highly suggest this place.

Due to COVID-19, they are working from a slightly reduced menu and are open for dine-in till 5pm on weekdays.

Pro-Tip
