It took us a while to get to Ouzo by Fire in Indiranagar, but then, when anything remotely Goan is considered, you'd expect something to come in the way, right? But we're glad we finally made it and ate our way through some good old Goan indulgence.
The menu largely focuses on Goan fare with a bit of Mangalorean touch to it. We've been here a few times and so we kind of already have some usual orders. For the table, we usually order the Prawn Ghee Roast, Pork Belly Chilli Fry, and Guntur Chilli Chicken to start things off. It's a mix of protein and there's something for everyone. And the best part? All of them are very moreish, so much so there's usually one more round of one or two of the dishes that we chow down with some Poee.
For mains, it's the Pork Chorizo Pulao, and Prawn Balchao with sides of Poee. They also have these grills, which we haven't ordered yet, but they definitely seem interesting enough to do it with a bigger group. You get to pick the style of prep, accompaniments, and curries. To wrap things up, the house-made Bebinca with Toffee Sauce is what we best recommend.
