Oxfam International is a league of charitable organisations dedicated to fighting global poverty. The Oxfam Trailwalker, a company that hosts 100km trail walk challenges with teams of four and donates the proceeds to charity, is conducting an InstaWalk. An Instameet combined with a trail walk — Yes, please! The walk starts in Nandi Hills and ends in Devanahalli with picturesque check points {manned with 40-50 volunteers} every ten kilometres for you dedicated shutterbugs. If that 100kms is too much of a workout, you can do the 50km walk from a village in between called Jayanagara.
Walk The Talk And Instagram For Charity With Oxfam Trailwalker's #InstaWalk This Weekend
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
As people who are Instagramming everything we see, this is a great chance for us to get some exercise out of it too. If you’re more inclined towards the workout, then it’s a good opportunity for you to get some great pictures out of it!
Why Should I Go For It?
The walk starts at Nandi Hills with a number of checkpoints until Devanahalli. Each of the checkpoints is a different “clickbaity” location like a 200-year-old British cemetery, some gorgeous vineyards, lakes and the Devanahalli Fort that we’re dying to put on our InstaStory. Plus, the whole event is like a festival so you can expect some dhol-dhamaka, music and dance at each of the checkpoints. There’s also food and drinks (including breakfast lunch and dinner), along with medical centres, physiotherapists and water stations. So put on your hiking boots and charge your phones — it’s for a good cause after all!
Where: Starts at Nandi Hills
When: Friday, January 20
