Our will to play dress up may have been lulled to sleep this past year but one look at the clothes showcased during Paris Fashion Week 2021 and bam! our inner fashionista is wide awake! Now that we've been thoroughly indulged by some of the most striking looks and inspo, we go straight to our fashion moodboard to make note of the trends we'll be wearing next season. Highly suggest you bookmark these Paris Fashion Week Best Trends of 2021 too and get to looking like a star hot off the Parisian catwalks (if not for the world, at least for the gram!).

Brown Town

Brown looked like the new black on the runway this season and we aren't complaining. The warmer, toastier (think cocoa tones) shades of brown have definitely been stealing the spotlight. But we're also enjoying the more neutral, sandy beiges that the likes of Chanel and Hérmes have been endorsing. An interesting tidbit of info (don't know how appealing it may be though) is that G-Zers have been dyeing their old clothes brown too! We're definitely going to be swapping some black for brown with this LBD (Little Brown Dress) from The August Co -- a waist gathering and collared neck, makes this an edgy number and this Open Front Brown Jacket from Authent for its basic but statement vibe. This Faux Leather Leggings and Suede Twill Coat, both from Zara has our attention too. In terms of accessories, we're definitely rocking this Croc Detail Shoulder Bag from cool homegrown label, The Thrift Avenue Pune and these stunning Block Heel Boots from Zebba. Just for old times sake, we're recommending these Linen Joggers from H&M too.

More Is More

A maximalist, almost leaning into the artsy side of fashion type situation has been all the rage at the Paris Fashion Week this year and the reason is only so it inspires you to embrace your creative side again (heaven knows how much we need this). The sights of bright, graphic patterns and quirky and unique prints truly has us feeling hopeful of the future. FYI, the "more is more" trend encourages lots of layering, mismatched proportions and oversized everything, so don't be afraid to go all out! We're going rouge in these Yellow Leopard Printed Trousers from Znx4ever and Multicoloured Striped Shirt Collar Dress from Ampersand and Ruffled Hem Dress from Blanc 9. Speaking of Maximalism, nothing tops Maximalist Designer, Param Sabhib's colourful handmade clothing -- whether indie lehengas, jackets, shirts and even accessories like OTT sunglasses. Stunning! For earrings and masks (because hey, we've got to stay safe at all times), Sajjaa is our go-to brand, you must browse through their products on The LBB Shop.

Bold & Saturated

Neutral or basic monochromatic looks are so yesterday says Paris Fashion Week. Now, it is all about making a bold statement with saturated shades and boy, we can't wait to add colour to this jaded life and routine! We saw Balmain, Nina Ricci and Acne Studios make eye-grabbing and head-turning looks with deep, bold hues like reds, pinks, oranges, neon greens, lemon yellows -- sometimes all in one look (so a mix and match) or as a one colour from head-to-toe moment and fell in love. Get excited because we are clashing colours with this Yellow Oversized Crop Denim Jacket and Yellow Denim Skirt from ISU (the brand also does the same outfit in colours like green and pink, so mix and match freely). For other bold styles we pick this Green Strappy Playsuit from Urban Suburban, this Knot Tie Red Bodycon Dress from Lake Peace, this Orange Embroidered Jacket from Besiva and these Pink Mule Heels from Don't Call Me Princess. How's that for some colour?

Back To The Club

Although things aren't fully back to normal, Paris Fashion Week is optimistic that shiny chic and back to the club looks will make its way this fall/end of year. So time to stock up on micro hemlines, strappy dresses and sparkly heels -- we certainly saw Miu Miu, Balmain and Lanvin flaunting nightclub fits as an ode to getting dressed up. We thought we'd never see a return of this and so we're diving into this trend head, arm, feet -- whole body first. Our picks to recreate back to club looks include this gorgeous Chain-link Straps Cowl Neck Silk Dress from Moazzam Reza, this Faux Fur Wrap Shawl from InWeave and these Rhinestone Strapped Heels from Maia Shoes. And no, we did not forget about accessories -- we're getting all blingy with these Shiny Minimal Accessories.

Go Big, Go Knitted

To keep us ready for the colder months that creep up faster than we know, Paris Fashion Week's fall and winter trend predicts everything big, baggy and knitted. The vibe is to pile on layers of cosy -- big scarves, knitted dresses, oversized sweaters -- but to keep it sophisticated and casual at the same time. If you ask us, we'd never want to let sweater weather out of sight, so we went all out with this Knitted Sustainable Dress from H&M and this Lavender Sweater Dress from AND. Couldn't do without this Purl-Knit Oversized Sweater and Rib Knit Scarf from Zara either. To switch things up a bit, or just layer more in style we're also recommending this Cable Open-Knit Cardigan from Forever 21 and Acro Wool Knitted Muffler from Fabindia.
