Peacock is like a hidden gem on the vast 100 Feet Road. Serving up North Indian, Mughalai and Continental food, don’t be put off that many people don’t know about this restaurant.

What Is It?

And old-school sort of restaurant, Peacock is fine dining but with a hint of casual. Go here for favourites such as cocktail samosas, honey chilli potato and kebabs.

More On The Ambience

The interiors at this place are brilliant and they seem to have a theme of ethereal things — angels, unicorns, birds, stars, flowers and sun rays. Grey-green sofas let you sit comfortably around tables while you enjoy your meal — be it a la carte or buffet.

Must Eat

Dahi Puri, Honey Chilli Potato, and Pani Puri are must-haves. Or pick the veggie or meat platters. The former has paneer, aloo, brocolli, Hara Bhara Kebab and sheekh kebabs. The non-vegetarian platter has chicken tikkas, tangdi kebabs, mutton sheekh and fish ajwaini – ideal for sharing. For mains paneer achari, dal tadka and tandoori rotis are highly recommended. Plus, choiceof biryani. End with gajar halwa and gulab jamun.

Wash it all down with Coconut Lagoon which is a light drink with coconut syrup, Blue Curacao and lemon juice. Or pick Go Green, a mocktail muddle of mint, lemon juice and mint syrup.

More About The Experience

I had a great experience visiting this relatively old but unnoticed restaurant. The taste of the food and flavours in the mocktails were quite good. Staff is very courteous and ready to attend anytime they are asked for help. I also liked the interiors of the place which looks quite classy. Apart from serving a la carte, they also have a buffet if you want to go all out. Prices start at INR 625, plus taxes for the vegetarian option.
