Close interaction with peacocks!

Place: Karanji Lake, Mysore.
It's a bird park but the peacocks are the highlight of this place. You are allowed to freely walk among the peacocks and peahens. Seeing them up close is a totally different feeling especially when they open up their iridescent feathers for you! You have to be patient for them to come to you though.

There are other birds present as well around the park but they are all in cages. The lake nearby was dried up when I had visited it.
Overall it was peaceful and a not so crowded place for a nice stroll in the morning. Cycles are available for rent for you to ride around the park.

The park entry ticket service : we we're not informed clearly about the ticket prices. There was apparently a combo ticket for Mysore zoo and lake (peacock park) which we didn't know about.
The prices for just the lake /peacock park was around RS 40. ( May vary I guess)
