New kid on the block! This new restaurant is another addition to the long line of eateries in Indiranagar but has enough potential to stand out.
It's located on the main road so finding the place was not an issue. Food coma is located on the 1st floor of the building and the ambiance is super welcoming. The place is vibrant, very colourful with warm lights and cosy, plush seating arrangement making the dining experience fun for everyone.
Coming to the food: the restaurant Chinese, continental and North Indian food. We were welcomed with a round of mocktails namely: Citreon Bloom, Shirley Temple, Black Chilly, Berry Queen, Guava down and Blue Dream. Each of them had a distinct presentation and looked beautiful. Coming to the taste, my pick would be Shirley temple which is a mix of passion fruit syrup, orange juice and grenadine. Also if you are in the mood for something spicy then you could try black chilli which has a very spicy chilli like after taste.
In food we ordered a round of vegetarian and non vegetarian starters. My personal favourites of them would be: Turkish Chicken Kebabs, cheese balls, crispy lotus stem, tawa fish, mutton seekh kebab, rainbow slider and Mexican golgappe.
The presentation of the kebabs were spectacular! And the chicken dishes were spicy and succulent.
The fish was soft and almost melted in my mouth.
Being a staunch non vegetarian, I did not think I will be eating much of the vegetarian dishes, but I was taken in for a surprise.
The cheese balls were delightful and the Rainbow platter (which is basically an assortment of different kinds of mimi burgers in different colours) is super Instagramable as far as the presentation goes and tastes brilliant. However what really did it for me was crispy Lotus steam. It was my first time I tried that particular dish and it was absolutely delicious!!
In dessert we tried an array of desserts from chocolate lava cake to cheese cake to almond cake to even pannacotta...but my favourite would be the chocolate mousse cake and chocolate brownie with I've cream. The presentation of each and every dessert was done immaculately almost showing how much effort went into the plating.
Special thanks to the chef who took out time to come see us at the table and took personal feedback each and every one of us.
