Planning a wedding photo shoot in the city’s most verdant settings? Well, we recommend you look elsewhere as the Horticultural Department bans photo shoots in Lalbagh and Cubbon Park.

Photogs! The city’s best-known parks are now off limits. The local Horticultural Department has announced a ban on all professional shoots in Lalbagh and Cubbon Park. This means that you will not be allowed to carry any professional cameras, flashlights and reflectors into these parks. Tripods, batteries and other related equipment are also not welcome. The authorities say that the decision was taken to avoid inconveniencing visitors and to also ensure that the flora and fauna are not disturbed.

The department also says that photography equipment also distracts the bees at the park and they attack visitors. While the ban has already been enforced in Lalbagh, Cubbon Park will follow suit soon. So, if you’ve zeroed in on either of these locations for your pre/post wedding shoot or any other occasion, it’s time to go back to the drawing board. Or you could check out this recommendation of ours on pre-wedding locations in and around Bangalore.
