What Makes It Awesome

It's hard to miss Pijja (stylised PIJJA) on 80 Feet Road Indiranagar screaming at you with its graffiti, bright lights and large signages. Two floors make up Pijja with plenty of al fresco seating and the whole space has graffiti artwork done by artist LeftHander aka Rabba giving it the street cred and subculture hotspot vibes. Plus, we are told that there's a jam and podcast space in the works for all the creators and trendsetters out there. Open for coffee and pet-friendly, we do see ourselves plugging in and working out of here in the coming days.

Now coming to the food we were intrigued when we heard 'desi-flavours' on pizza (we spiralled a bit thinking of those chicken tikka pizzas from certain fast food pizza chains) and luckily here it's not exactly that. To set the mood for the night, we started with Dosa Battered Onion Rings which frankly were too good. Especially topped with podi. We'd have ordered multiple rounds of it. Since we were at a pizzeria, we knew we were going to load up on carbs quickly, so we got ourselves a smaller portion of the Thecha Pesto.

For something substantial, we did Afghani Pollo Bianco and Kasundi Aglio E Olio. The Thecha Pesto was interesting enough and when paired with the dollops of stracciatella cheese, it worked. We would have preferred the thecha to be spicier since that's how we've had our thecha. The Afghani is for anyone who likes their pizza cheesy. We liked that both had a good base— the crispy, airy edges on the sourdough pizza get our thumbs up.

The Kasundi spaghetti is something we are going back for more. We are going back to check out their Andhra Chicken Panzerotti and their coffee menu.
