We are firm believers that there’s no way you can beat the image quality of professional equipment with that of a smartphone camera with a DxOMark rating {noobs, that’s industry standard rating} of 92 and above. But then we are also the people who find a huge problem with this professional gear — they are ridiculously expensive. But then, the kind of people that we are, we found a way around that. How? Well, by of course renting these professional gear for as low as INR 525 per day. Without further ado, shutterbugs, we present to seven places that you can rent a camera in Bangalore.
Canon 5D Mark IV To Telephoto Lenses: 7 Places In Bangalore To Rent Your Camera Gear From
Wlend
Our favourite on the list, simply because their collection is limited and they offer the whole package — not just the body, but also one stock lens. Hurrah for that. And also, it’s the kind of website that appeals to amateur photographers. Currently, they are stocking up on everything from DSLRs {Canon & Nikon} to GoPros. Their lens collection is quite underwhelming {they have just two}, but hey, you can rent a 55-200 mm Nikon Nikkor lens for INR 275 per day.

Felis Creations
Need a drone? These guys have it. And a lot of them actually. Basically, these guys have divided their inventory into two categories — Filmmakers and Photographers. That being said, there’s a whole lot of equipment for you to browse through, from cameras to tripods, all kinds of lenses to mics, and accessories ranging from batteries to viewfinders.

Tapprs
Planning on investing in a new high-end camera but want to take it for a test run? Tapprs are the guys to go to. These guys have a range of high-end camera for you to rent such as the Canon 5D Mark IV and Nikon 850D. Now, mind you, these guys only rent out the camera body, so you will have to rent the lenses as well. Luckily for you, they have a collection of lenses as well — regular to telephoto and macro. They also have a limited stock of tripods, camera backpacks, and filters.

Toehold
Landed that big assignment? Then these are the guys to go to. Their collection of high-end models range from Canon 1DX Mark II to the Nikon D5. But don’t let the rental price of the high-end models put you off — INR 3,250 for one day is the rental price for the Nikon 5D. Their catalogue consists of budget, mid-range, and high-range cameras of Nikon, Canon, Sony, and Panasonic. One more thing, these guys only rent out the camera bodies only, so lenses are separate, but since they have lenses, you are covered. Besides rental, they also conduct workshops, photography walks, and classes as well. Be sure to check that out.

Wildclickz
Another website that rents out the camera body and lenses separately, Wildclickz lets you pick from beginner models {Canon 1000D} to high-end ones {Red}. Oh, since we mentioned Red, they have a Red Epic Dragon cine camera that you can rent for INR 10,000 per day. It sounds a lot, but hey, if you want your short film to look epic and you have the budget to make it look epic, then there’s no harm in splurging, right? Lenses, accessories, tripods, lights, and audio are other categories you can rent from.

These guys only deal with Nikon and Canon DSLR camera rentals. They have a physical store in Malleshwaram, so you can check that store out if you are a bit wary of online rental sites. Canon and Nikkor lens are available for rent as well.

Pixellin
We love their GoPro section. And we definitely love their range of Canon and Nikon DSLRs on rent. Lenses are also available in abundance. We spotted telephoto lenses of Canon, Nikkor and Sigma that’s ridiculously cheap considering how much they cost to buy. For instance, a Canon 600mm super telephoto lens just cost you INR 4750 for a 3-7 day period while the retail price for the same is around INR 1.2 lakhs. Sounds like a pretty good deal, right?
