Beef Tacos, Special Cocktails And A Live Music Space: Koramangala Peeps, Have You Been To This New Bar Yet?

Shortcut

Koramangala has no dearth for bars and there’s always room for one more. This time it goes by the name Primal – The Bar and you’ll be happy to know it’s opening this Thursday, November 9.

Primal Instincts

Your first question would be where is this new bar located? Well, right above The Smoke Co., so you’ll have to enter through Smoke’s entrance. Now that we have established its location let’s move on to talking about the space that resembles The Smoke Co. in its decor — exposed bricks and that distinct glass-house effect. Sit-down tables fill the large space up that’s flanked by a bar on one side serving all kinds of poison to set you for the night. Exposed brick walls, wooden flooring and hanging light fixtures give off a very industrial look and feel.

We hear that the playlist mainly consists of original compositions from local artists, Blues/Rock, and Experimental Electronica, so folks, you’ve got enough tracks to shake a leg after a couple of drinks. The space is currently dedicated to music performances, but we hear it’ll be soon open to workshops, slam poetry, and even stand-up comedy. You can check out their Facebook page here for event details.

Partying Away

When Jack’s in the bar, you know you are in for a fun night. And when you add his friend Teq, it’s a night to remember {or not}. Jack N Smoke and Smoked Tequila form the part of the signature cocktails available at the bar. And they are all about the drama and the flavour. Bottled beer, classics, and hard liquor are also on the menu. Can’t dance on an empty stomach? Don’t worry, there’s the menu full of bar nibbles to keep you going. Avocado bombs served with salsa should get you started before you get your hands all dirty with the Primal Chicken Wings. Oh, but beware, because the wings are rubbed with Naga Chilli. Bring beef and tacos together are the Tenderloin Beef Tacos that’s perfect to share {or not}. Did we tell you there’s Banana Bacon Rolls as well along with a very old-school Kerala staple — Kappa and Chamandi, which is basically a vegan option that consists of boiled tapioca and dry coconut chutney.

Well, come this Thursday, November 9, we are going to be partying the night away here. What about you?
